Goals of churches and movements

Most church plants do not have in view the idea of reaching the whole of a 100,000-population segment—they have a vision to grow to a certain size (for example, a few hundred, or a few thousand).

Movements, on the other hand, have a vision to scale, to see everyone in an area reached, and spill over into nearby areas. That’s a dramatic different in vision and end-goal.

“Are we here making disciples among the lost… or are we here to preach sermons to saved people every Sunday?” ~Chris Galanos
