The Person of Peace is often mis-defined as someone who is open to talking about Jesus (spiritually open). That’s where a Person of Peace begins, but not where the definition ends.
A Person of Peace is:
- open to the message of Jesus
- receptive to the messenger (will invite him/her into their circle of friends/family) (“Can I come to your home” is an important filter. Are they welcoming the Gospel in, or are they just willing to tolerate me in the street?)
- influential in their social network, and bringing others to the message.
These three factors converging in a single individual can be a catalytic hub for the Gospel.
