Having recently done a quick survey on what has been written about missionary recruitment, I have been again disheartened to find the answer is, “very little.” Jesus’ prayer, “Lord, send workers to the harvest,” is one of our familiar thoughts, yet we seem to give very little consideration to this topic–certainly less, by all appearances, than is given to, say, the issue of C-5 contextualization. Yet the need for more workers on the field underpins everything.
I need to put my money where my mouth is, so to speak. My intention is to up my ratio in writing and thinking about recruitment. I am thinking about a strategic challenge for mission passionate bloggers, writers, thinkers and tweeters. Will you join me in upping your ratio? What should our ratio be?
Perhaps: one tweet per day, one blog post per week, one ______ per month?
