“In 30 years, there will be no Christians left” [in the Middle East]?

November 21, 2011

…But there’s a slim hope in history,” Anthony Shadid, New York Times. Cited in RealClearReligion.com as “In 30 years, there will be no Christians left.” It’s not especially clear where “here” is from the article, but the general tone is either Lebanon or the Middle East in general, or perhaps both. This is a chilling trend that has  been discussed anecdotally, although I have yet to see hard verified numbers put to the exodus. This three page article explores the trend and the issues in some detail. See also After Egypt’s Revolution, Christians Are Living in Fear (NYT).
