via Science Daily. The upshot is that, ironically, if you doggedly pursue your own happiness–if you set happiness as a goal for yourself–the pursuit itself will backfire. Set up situations for yourself to make yourself happy will make you less happy. And too much happiness reduces your creativity and your willingness to take risks. Instead of seeking your own happiness… why not seek the kingdom of God and His will instead?
