A interesting question comes from A Leadership Blog. Do we, too often, eradicate from our organizations and meetings people from whom we can learn–if only by friction? There is a well known concept in social media called “the echo chamber“: this happens when the voices you surround yourself with are exactly in tune with and amplify your own, and you never allow yourself to hear an idea which contradicts you, teaches you, informs you, or gives you a different perspective.
Is your organization or network an “echo” chamber that you rarely learn anything new from?
