Lunch – Joel on Software reflects on the importance of eating meals with others. “I’ve been on teams that eat together every day, and it’s awesome. I’ve been on teams that don’t, and lunch every day is, at best, lonely.”
A business book, “Never eat alone,” has been written on the topic of building relationships over meals.
To change the world you need at least three things–(1) vision, (2) a community that believes the vision is important, and (3) the ability to work together. Breaking bread together is one essential step in sharing vision and building community.
If you aren’t willing to eat with someone else, it’s not likely that you’re going to spread your vision very far.
