I often wonder how much of the criticism of popular megapastors and writers and celebrities is rooted in envy rather than an earnest contention for the truth. How does envy keep us from mission? The discipline that reigns in envy is charity and fasting, but in our current economic system, turning away from materialism can even be considered unpatriotic.
