Very often we struggle and fight to present the claims of Christ, to argue for the truth of the Gospel, to passionately press the lost to accept their need for the Savior and Lord.
In our excitement, sometimes it seems we get confused as to whether we are a lawyer for Christ… or a witness,
I think it’s very interesting that Jesus called us to be his witnesses. To tell people what we had seen and heard. To serve others. To love at all costs. To turn the other cheek. To walk the extra mile.
We are warned against pride. Haughtiness. Selfishness. Rudeness. Demanding our own way. Being easily provoked. Thinking evil of others. Rejoicing when others get it wrong.
My task, and yours, is not to argue, persuade, force. My job is to tell, clarify, share, serve, love.
The missionary job is to do this across languages and cultures, which makes it a bit more of a challenge.
