A man and his mistress: Fancy women have their say | The Economist. A Canadian writer has written her second book in a projected trilogy on male-female relationships: “Ms Abbott has explored the nature and history of the extra-marital affair as seen through the mistresses’ experience.” Given the number of ministries that have been brought low over adultery this would perhaps be an interesting book to examine for those attempting to provide member care and counseling. Abbott’s first book was a history of celibacy; her third will be a history of marriage.
