The Economist writes on “how funding poor students could be the next big thing in microfinance.” This could be a significant area for Christian missions and foundations to play in. Education has long been an area of influence for missions, who founded many of the schools and hospitals in the Majority World. Amongst the poor, microenterprise and microloans are a hot topic. Is there a possible convergence between microenterprise and teaching people how to run businesses?
