I tried translating that explanatory paragraph into Italian. It is an extremely literal word-for-word translation rather than it being a translation of the meaning of phrases.
The Haitian Creole version of that explanatory paragraph would also need quite a bit of cleaning up for it to be understandable. For instance, it mistook “reports” for a noun rather than a verb.
Machine translation always has its difficulties. I wonder if the machine translation is “good enough” to get the point across (for rudimentary documents & communication)? Also, would it be useful to translate documents using machine translation or would the “clean up” work be too much?
