Here’s an interesting fact: my blog entry, “posting hiatus,” is one of the most frequented pages – particularly the comment page. And it draws a lot of spam. I’m not very familiar with the dark side of hacking and spamming, but I wonder if there’s not some kind of artificial intelligence engine out there that tells a spammer when a page is not likely to be frequently checked–when it’s safe to post comment spam, because it’s possible it will be auto approved?
Aside: Posting hiatus draws spammers?

Yes, any hint that a blog might be abandoned seems to attract spammers like flies to a corpse. Most of them appear to hope that their spam will provide links to improve their page rank on Google etc.
